We have five consecutive port days coming up, so we’re making the most of todays sea day. Our favourite exec sous chef Julius insists on making us a fabulous breakfast burrito even though we’ve already ordered an egg tagine, so we’re overloaded before the day has even properly started.

We plan lots of laps anyway so soon get going, but a cooking demonstration drags me away for an hour, where an alternative gnocchi is shown - add that to the next dinner party!!
We’re back to our laps and make it to 100 quite easily - 10km earns enough to compensate earlier sins and make a start on the next list.
Lunch is Wahoo and chips - with a name like Wahoo it’s destined to be special, and in fact it is … strong and solid like a good steak yet juicy off-white flesh.
After lunch I take my cousin Anne on an extended FaceTime tour of the ship - it takes 45 minutes to visit pretty much all the important public areas. Then it’s pool-time chatting to fellow guests before we jump in the jacuzzi for more chat with other guests. They are slowly getting used to us now! We have a new cocktail created for us today - apple, kiwi and pineapple daiquiri by afternoon bartender Richard - great!
Just before sunset at 18:00 we quickly head home to change for the first concert of the day, given by Filippo, who is the pianist from the observation bar, and fabulous enough to command his own show.
Pre-dinner drinkies pool-side then we descend to MDR for two ravioli (beetroot & goats cheese and porcini) / tomato soup and squash broth / caramelised duck and veal scallopine / apple & raisin cobbler and orange soufflé.
We finish the evening by first saying goodbye to the expedition team - they have been onboard since before Christmas delivering Zodiac and kayak tours alongside nature talks and considerable expertise, and then with the ship’s company performing a Latin collection heavily featuring the dance couple. We don’t recognise any of the music but the show is good.
