Sadly we are at work, so the day outside looks stunning and we should be walking hand-in-hand along the Thames, but instead we are cooped up in our hotel room getting on with work.

Even lunch, which would have been wonderful in a river-side restaurant, eludes us in favour of a bar-snack in the hotel. We’ll make up for it later!
Breaking for a while we enjoy a walk along Regents Canal, which pops out of a tunnel just behind our hotel, and head back to Camden Lock, a favourite walk. Never gone the other way, not sure where abouts it re-emerges on the other side of Angel.
The sight of gas holders will be familiar to anyone who’s drawn out of St Pancras on the way back to Sheffield over the years, but in recent times they have been converted into some seriously swanky apartments.

Being careful not to inhale too deeply, we pass loads of people enjoying themselves perhaps just a little too much, and certainly with no regard for social distancing. The air is heady with illicit substances, and the tow-path with excitable persons.
We take a turn around Camden Lock and the market before turning round to re-trace our steps.

Tonight’s performance has a different cast so it will be subtly different, but I won’t know as I’m electing to stay home to get uninterrupted work time. I make excellent progress on two very different projects, although still a long way to go on each.
Soon it’s time to dress and head off to the theatre in time to meet hubby and our dear friend Heather to enjoy dinner at Frederick’s. It’s ten years since the last visit as usually we don’t get out of the theatre in time for fine dining, but a short run-time and no event means we’re able to enjoy a leisurely late dinner. Have to say the veal rib is absolutely fabulous, I couldn’t say how long since the last time I had such a fabulous cut.
