We’ve not seen our new lodger for a few days !

Les pains au chocolat orange for breakfast ring the changes this week. Then a work problem with the auditions system distracts me for a while which delays our exit. Meanwhile Hubby has a chat with our lovely gardener Jo and we learn that she was not the one who filled in the rabbit hole - the only conclusion is our naughty neighbour may have been involved? Presumably the other end of the burrow was in his garden?
We head to Ingbirchworth and park up to commence our walk. We can easily walk that far but making it our starting point opens the possibilities for going beyond, which we do, going as far as Hepworth. It’s a steady walk with just one steep drop and a similar climb but otherwise it’s easy going.
We’re not phased when our planned route is blocked by “trespassers will be prosecuted “ and hefty gates - the OS says it’s a footpath so we’re using it. Braving the unknown we plod on regardless past some dodgy looking farm, tip, numerous dogs (quite friendly actually) and later come out unscathed, even stopping for Boursin & smoked salmon sandwiches in the middle of no-mans-land. What does one do in these circumstances - report the land-owner? To whom?
Passing by Royd Moor we love the extraordinary sound of the windmills, even though many are out of action it’s an ethereal sensation.
We return to the car and head to our first social engagement since Christmas, meeting an old friend (she’ll hate me for saying that, but it’s true we’ve known her for a long time) in her garden now we’re allowed. Thanks to Sheila for tea and yummy home-made biscuits, and the recipe!
Back home, I have some “automatic” problems - DropBox has stopped automatically increasing in size so I have to get on to them to fix their dodgy code, and my software has stopped automatically creating Zoom meetings for just one of the classes, so I have to correct that as it’s my dodgy code haha!
Then whilst Hubby is playing for me, I chop an onion, apple and bacon into cider and court buillion, poach a rabbit for 75 mins, then pick off the meat from the bones to make pie. I think the floppy ears turned out quite good and the pie certainly did - it’s excellent!
