We’ve never done Valentine’s Day presents before, today we make up for several decades in one go!

Our present to each other has been months in the planning, even years one might say! Finally we get the keys to our new home.
Starting early, the sunrise is lovely, and then we are queuing for breakfast before 08:00, special because of the date, and checked out of Hard Rock before 09:00.
All this so we can drive into town, park under San Eugenio shopping complex and walk to the bank 10 minutes away. We collect the cheques needed to make our purchase - the buyer is responsible for clearing the seller's mortgage and paying the estate agent as well - and we walk back to the Notary, an official who brings all the people, paperwork and transactions together.
It takes two hours in the Notary's office, there’s a few debates about wording. We chat with the vendor for ages, then the estate agent is late on Russian time, the seller's bank is even later attending obviously on Planet Zog time, yet miracuoulsy it all comes together and suddenly at 12:30 the Notary says to us "congratulations!" and finally we are handed the keys to our new castle.
We return to Playa Paraíso, driving directly to “our house” to meet with the estate agent again for the handover. They give us a housewarming present of champagne and Ferrero Roché, both appreciated.
We pop over the road to Rosa centre, and specifically SuperDino where we get lunch, and bits necessary for our new existence, like loo-rolls, washing-up liquid, balsamic vinegar etc. meanwhile work continues and I get a good afternoon creating some scripts for our audition systems
Later we return to SuperDino for even more, it’s going to be daily shopping from now on!! Being Valentine’s we’re in need of a special menu, steak frites or bistecca frito y papas fritas in our new lingo, with tomato and onion salad it is just perfect alfresco.
We make a few FaceTime calls using our astonishingly fast internet (what have we been missing these last years) and intersperse cooking with drinking and calls to various friends.
