We enjoy a splendid breakfast including fruit, caviar, gravadlax and meats.

Next we decide to drive right up the old town of Adeje, some 1000 feet above the coast. It’s probably not the most picturesque place ever, but the town hall looks nice.
Next we visit Playa Paraíso again, just a couple of miles up the road from where we live. It’s a very small town with great ambitions since Hard Rock built their hotel here, and much more development is coming.
After a lovely lunch we return the car to our hotel car park and wander back along the coast, as far as Playa de las Americas - a forty minute walk - before turning round then heading inland to try out yet another neighbourhood.
Madroñal which has some very impressive looking houses, then we drop down though familiar streets back to our hotel, leaving just an hour to catch up on work before it’s time to dress for dinner, enjoying the view from our balcony.
Our walks today have clocked up about 15 miles, but quite piecemeal so it’s not possible to post a smug map unfortunately!

Dinner tonight is in our other speciality restaurant, La Pergola which is Al La Carte. We chose duck & foie and salmon tartare, lobster Thermidor and lamb cutlets. All are splendid and then we finish with apple tatin and brownie in soup - both fabulous. PS it was Crème Anglaise really, not soup!
