Fruit loaf for breakfast as we watch the neighbours trees disappear - thank goodness as they get in the way of our satellite signal when the wind is up!

An early walk again to avoid the forecast rain, our route mostly follows the disused Barnsley Canal, parts of which are 225 years old and some totally disheveled. We follow the canal until we reach Walton and specifically the Walton Hall hotel at Warterton Park. We phone friends and family and even book the car in for a ridiculously expensive service on Friday.
11 miles on, we’ve completed the circuit back to Notton and drive home to make lunch, another go at club sandwich, then I spend a while mentoring my apprentice again and up-dating the auditions system slightly.
Before too long afternoon tea beckons and we settle down to watch The Informer which is quite a good film apart from a hard to decipher sound-tra, and a rather brutal subject.
After a mini recital, prep for dinner is quite complex and requires several G&Ts but we manage, and ham and scallop macaroni was created - no recipe just made up - which turned out to be wonderful. I make a coral sauce which floats around the dish in the shape of - yep you guessed it - a coral.
