At Sea. A quiet day you might think? Relatively yes, but non-stop anyway. After a Pinnacle breakfast we change into t-shirt, shorts and Converse to make a start on our laps. In colder climes our first few might well have been in breakfast attire but not now the humidity is approaching 100%. We do a few before the first cooking demo. Chef Mauricio is extremely humourous today whilst simultaneously cooking and telling mother-in-law jokes and more I can't put on record. We see him rustle up Cedar Planked Halibut and Shrimp Papardelle.

Back to walking for a while before its time for crazy art-boy Peter to perform whilst making ZA influenced Squash Soup. As on previous occasions, the chat is the main event although there is about five minutes of cooking too, not including an exploding liquidiser.

We take time out for a aft-deck lunch and bottle of Chardonnay together with an hour or so of pure sunsine, but it's too hot and eventually we return to the varandah to read before continuing with laps. There's a lot of general repairs going on - there's always something on a ship - and today they have a chunk of our promenade deck closed off, so we detour inland via a corridor to keep the flow going, which of course might be upsetting the local residents, but what else can we do? Courteously we stop doors from banging, but this is very difficult. The side-wind today is very strong, Force 8 and opening doors into the wind is impossible for some people, even with my weight advantage it is difficult!

It's not long before we've clocked up ten miles and it is time to shower and dress for another formal night. We take aperitifs in the Explorers lounge listening to piano and violin before slipping next door the the Pinnacle for huge rib-eyes!

The evening performance is delivered by Mark Donoghue. He is an extremely talented multi-honed musician and plays violin, guitar, harmonica, keyboards and sings too. We have seen him before on HAL and continue to marvel at his talent, and as you may know we don't say that lightly. Simply excellent!
