Our first day at sea was a little cold, and not so sunny, but 18 degrees in December isn't so bad and between reading and feeding we managed 44 laps around the promenade deck, this being our favourite way to watch the world and our fellow passengers go by. As previously mentioned this is a modest ship, so it takes four laps to make a mile - over the course of the day we've clocked up 11 miles, exactly the same as yesterday in San Diego, and hopefully negated a good percentage of the calories that continue to flow inward when the evening starts. Classical piano and violin first before moving next-door for dinner. Sadly they burned the soufflé but with the show coming up we didn't wait for another to be prepared. We enjoyed Broadway, a great production show with costumes by Bob Mackie which hopefully we'll see again in a couple of weeks.
Contraband update - my naughty multi-bloc was waiting on the bed this evening
